For the purposes of GDPR, we act as the data controller for any personal data processed in connection with this App.

2. Data We Collect

Bready is designed with privacy by default. We collect and store only the minimum data necessary to provide the Application's functionality.

Data stored locally on your device only:

• Your favourite recipes (recipe IDs)
• Personal notes you write for individual recipes
• Your star ratings for individual recipes
• Your display preferences (e.g. Night Mode on/off)
• Your purchase status (whether the premium upgrade has been unlocked)
• A count of recipes opened, used only to decide when to show a one-time in-app review prompt
• Whether you have seen the welcome screen

None of this data is transmitted to us or any third party. It exists solely on your device and can be deleted by uninstalling the Application.

3. In-App Purchases

If you choose to purchase the premium upgrade, the transaction is processed entirely by Google Play (Google LLC). We do not receive, store, or process your payment information.

Google's handling of payment data is governed by Google's own Privacy Policy. We receive only a confirmation of whether a purchase was completed, with no personally identifiable information attached.

4. Third-Party Services

The Application does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any similar technologies.

The Application is distributed via Google Play, which may collect device and usage data as part of the Play Store platform. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, which you can review at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Under GDPR and UK GDPR, we process the limited local data described above on the basis of:

• Legitimate Interest: storing your preferences and notes so the Application functions as expected across different sessions.
• Contract Performance: confirming your premium purchase status to deliver the features you have paid for.

6. Data Retention

All data is stored locally on your device for as long as you have the Application installed. It is permanently deleted when you uninstall the Application. We do not retain any copies of your data on external servers.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR, UK GDPR, and other applicable laws, you have the following rights:

• Right of Access – you can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
• Right to Rectification – you can correct inaccurate data.
• Right to Erasure – you can request deletion of your data. For data stored on your device, you can delete it at any time by clearing app data in your device settings or uninstalling the App.

• Right to Data Portability – you can request your data in a portable format.

The Application does not knowingly collect any personal data from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain EU jurisdictions). The Application contains no features designed to collect data from children.
